Background:
Founded in 2002, Enovity provides commissioning, energy engineering, sustainable design and building operations and maintenance services to the construction and property management industry. The company works across the Western United States, and is very well known within the industry.
Position Overview:
Enovity is currently seeking highly motivated Project Managers to join our team in our San Francisco and Irvine offices to lead and manage commissioning and retro-commissioning projects. Enovity leads the Commissioning process, from start to finish, of new facilities. We assume the role of Commissioning Authority and can manage the design phase and construction phase commissioning process, developing the Commissioning Plan, Commissioning Specifications and completing a Commissioning Report and Systems Manual. These services lead to valuable credits towards the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage commissioning and retro-commissioning projects
• Perform design reviews of HVAC, controls and electrical plans
• Consult on energy efficiency and sustainable designs
• Responsible for the technical quality, accuracy and managerial aspects of multiple projects
• Responsible for personal and subordinate time management for those projects
• Planning for project activities and keeping accurate records of project activities
• Technical report writing and editing
• Client management and communication
• Communication with other Enovity staff including Principals, Technical Managers, Engineers and Administration Staff
• Project invoicing and other project responsibilities
Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial and passionate spirit and a concern for sustainability, as well as possess the following:
• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
• California Professional Engineering P.E. (Mechanical) preferred
• LEED AP preferred
Experience:
• Seven to 10 years of project management experience in design and/or construction, commissioning of
new construction projects and recommissioning of existing buildings, with at least five of those years in
team leadership or management role
• New construction experience required
• Proven track record of delivering on large-scale projects
• Experience overseeing all aspects of the project, including planning, resource allocation, and budget
• Strong communication skills, including analytical, technical writing, team building, collaboration and problem solving
• Proven leadership ability
